LIFELINE’s Off-Broadway Debut

The OFF-BROADWAY debut of the 2x sell-out Edinburgh Fringe show LIFELINE. Music & lyrics by Robin Hiley and book by Becky Hope-Palmer. Rob wrote the songs in collaboration with his long-time songwriting partner James Ross and collaborated with LIFELINE’s musical director Neil Metcalfe on arrangements. The show was developed in collaboration with scientific advisor Dr Meghan Perry, stage director Alex Howarth, producer Jess Conway & dramaturg Richard Lounds.

ABOUT

Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, Rob has 20+ years of experience as a composer, lyricist, and music producer. His songs have reached audiences across the globe through the success of the musical LIFELINE, most recently staged in New York at Off-Broadway’s Signature Theatre in late 2024. A two-time Edinburgh Fringe sell-out (2022 & 2018), LIFELINE has also toured to London, Glasgow, Washington DC and Atlanta, and is the only musical to perform on the floor of the United Nations in New York.

Rob is a singer and multi-instrumentalist, with a background as a touring musician and music producer. He grew up in East Lothian, Scotland, and holds music degrees from the University of Edinburgh and Newcastle University.

Rob is also a theatre producer, currently Artistic Director & CEO of Edinburgh-based non-profit Charades Theatre Company.
